Cartagena is preparing to celebrate their Big Day (25/03/2010)

On Friday March 26 Cartagena celebrates its Big Day, the Friday before, and with him their patron saint, the Virgen de la Caridad, a day which will develop activities and events including the start of Holy Week.

The first procession of the Brotherhood of Christ Relief, founded by the Duke of Veragua, will take place at four in the morning and depart from the vicinity of the Old Cathedral, with a penitential procession through the main streets lead hull old city the images of the Virgin de la Soledad del Consuelo and the Christ, a Via Crucis to arrive in the Church of Charity in the early hours of the morning.
