Manuel Asensio takes over as chief inspector of the local police Cartagena (23/03/2010)

Asensio Manuel Montilla, 49 years old, is from today officially chief inspector of the local police in Cartagena.

The inauguration was held this afternoon at the Palace Hall in a ceremony presided by Mayor Pilar Barreiro, and the Councillor of Finance and Personnel, José Cabezas.

Also present Councillor for Citizen Security, Javier Herrero, and the Director General of Security, Carlos Nieto, along with other council members, local police commanders, city officials, friends and family.

Asensio property access to that, after passing a probationary period commenced on 17 June, which approved the opposition stage.

During this period has also made selective courses in Madrid, Malaga and Murcia.

The new Local police chief replaced in office inspector Antonio García Ruiz, who currently heads up the school (Espace).
