The plaza Spain will be opened to traffic before Easter (24/02/2010)

Before Easter, the place of Spain will be open to traffic, as announced by the Town Planning, Joaquín Segado, who added that during these days are putting the finishing touches, both inside the park, and abroad, which is proceeding to restore waterproofing and sealing and different gardens that had been temporarily removed for excavation.

This is the second and final phase of this work.

The first began in March 2009 carried out for about six months in the section between the Paseo de Alfonso XIII and the Alameda de San Antón.

The section that is about to expire is between the Alameda and the Puerta de Madrid, whose execution has led to the diversion of traffic down the street from Alameda San Basilio and Luis Calandre.

Just the opening to traffic of the Plaza of Spain at this time determines the project to remodel Luis Calandre whose previous work has begun on the upper part of Sebastian Feringa.

As pointed out by Joaquín Segado, the concessionaire is expected to open to the public car park to coincide with Easter.

This will make available to citizens around 362 new jobs, with four-front pedestrian access Carmelites, in the center ring of the Plaza of Spain, next to the petrol station and opposite-Telepizza and a shot at the entrance Mercadona area and an output, also shot, located near the taxi stand.

Parking is an extension of the current Alameda de San Antón, with which it is connected.
