The Community meets in Cartagena the present and the future of advertising in Spain (12/02/2010)

The Minister of Universities and Research Company, Salvador Marin, and the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, accompanied by the Mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, today welcomed the hundreds of creative advertising and major companies announced in Spain , meeting in the port city to discuss the present commercial communication lines that will make this future knowledge industry.

The meeting is the largest of its kind in Spain and is organized by the Creative Club (CoC) with the support of the Institute of Development, Murcia Tourism and the City of Cartagena.

It will examine innovation in the field of advertising and use of new media for best results.

To this end, besides the presentation of 'Communication in February 2010' Rodrigo Figueroa Reyes, founder of Fire and one of the major revolutionaries of today's business communication, five tables will be discussed in more innovative campaigns in recent months, as Wikipeli (Doubleyou and Mahou) Pikolin (Pantry), Viña Rock (change direction), Vodafone (Waskman) and the brand value insurance (Ignition k).

The meeting will discuss the sector, quality produce usable knowledge to improve competitiveness and to show representatives of companies such as Telefonica, Coca-Cola, Sony, BMW, Mercedes or Bassat Ogilvy, among others, the Region of Murcia as a 'laboratory creative "for their projects and as the scene of their advertising campaigns.

The 'Day A', whose second edition will be held today and tomorrow in Cartagena, was born to bring a face to face between advertisers and creative about the challenge that unites them: to better communication.

Try to be a kind of 'think tank' to help both groups to solve common problems.

The initiative has the support of the Autonomous Region and the City of Cartagena and is organized by Creative Club, a nonprofit organization aimed at improving the quality of creative work in Spanish advertising and seek union of professional sector.

His main area of activity is the formation and comprises more than 550 individual members and institutional fifty members, including advertising agencies, production companies, trademarks and institutions committed to creativity and improving the country's commercial media.
