End of National Composition Contest Pasodobles (29/01/2010)

On Saturday, January 30, will be held at the Civic Center Pozo Estrecho to 21 hours, the final phase of Musical Composition Contest XVIII of Pasodobles even surpassed in number to the previous editions.

In the majority of the contest has received the largest share of the Contest: 48 pasodobles unpublished compositions from many of our geography, central and southern Europe, United States, South America and Asia.

It is organized by the Association of Amas de Casa de Pozo Estrecho, the disappearance of anitugua Neighborhood Association, and with the support of the new Association.

The objective of this contest is to promote the centennial Santa Cecilia Musical Art Society, established on June 1, 1893.

The XVIII pasodobles selected in this contest among the 48 presented were:

Montsianell.

Rafaelillo.

Fulgencio well.

Roser.

Irene.

In the final pasodobles interpret the jury selected and awarded prizes and consolation prizes.

The progress of the Banda Santa Cecilia has been Musical Art Society to be based in their own music school, and at present with 90 students trained by 8 teachers and the director of the Band.

Band currently has 60 components and a children's band of 20 students, that promote the relief and maintenance of students in their training.

The school is located in the local society, in the Civic Center and the Public School San Fulgencio.

Funding comes abalada Competition for the support of regional and local institutions for the neighborhood, credit institutions, the Organising Association and the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena, in the Ministry of Culture.
