Youth Councillor, Ruth Maria Collado González, met today at the Palace Hall of Cartagena a group of high school students and teachers of Norwegian exchange found in the city with their Spanish counterparts IES Jiménez de la Espada, from 23 to 30 January.
Visitors are 18 high school students and 2 teachers, from the Bjorgvin videregÃ¥ende Skole city of Bergen in Norway, which lived in families of students and teachers of IES Jiménez de la Espada for a week.
The visit is one of the activities included in the agenda of the Bilingual Section, Department of English, led by Professor Flora Lorente, the Institute organizes in order to establish a cultural exchange, providing students and teachers at the school approach Europe and foreign language practice, and Norwegian students have a high competence in English in addition to study Spanish at home.
During the week stay, apart from live with Spanish families, this group is integrated into the daily life of the institute and its members have time to get to know our customs and the vast heritage of Cartagena, outdoor activities in the Mar Menor and visit the most representative of Murcia.
So, yesterday took the opportunity to know the Regional Assembly and the Department of Youth, where they were informed of the services they offer to young people today and visit the Roman Theatre and the Park Towers, among others.
This is the third consecutive year that are exchanged with students Videregaäende Skole Bjorgvin Norwegian, and is in April when 18 students of IES Jiménez de la Espada returned the visit by going to Bergendurante few days, which will have different activities planned and time free to enjoy your stay in the Nordic country.
