The Community is facing the construction of three new schools in the municipality (19/01/2010)

The director general of the Autonomous Community Centers, María José Jiménez Pérez, and the Councillor for Education, Josefa Maroto, today visited various renovation and expansion that are taking place in schools in the municipality of Cartagena, as well as for projects to build three new schools in Los Nietos, the Rambla de Benipila (next to the Palacio de Deportes) and The Aljorra.

The tour started in the early morning in Los Nietos, where they checked the progress of construction of kindergarten and primary school, Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente.

This is a new facility which will replace the old center of town, which was demolished to build the new.

The work, financed by the Autonomous Community, have a budget of 1.4 million euros.

The following school has been to San Isidro Labrador Los Belones, where in recent months the Department of Education under regional subsidies has carried out various improvement works both inside and paving, with a budget that has hovered 100,000 euros.

Subsequently, the general director and the Councillor have visited the two new modules in the school Concepción Arenal Avenue Angel Bruna.

This is an extension of this center, and virtually complete, and that will mean the addition of four new classrooms for children who have had a budget of 374,000 euros.

Another visit was to the land on which will commence shortly the construction of the new nursery and primary school in Benipila Rambla, next to the Palacio de Deportes.

This center is to respond to the demand for education places in the area and will initially have two lines of children and six classrooms.

Its initial budget of 1 million euros and its construction will be borne by the Autonomous Community.

In Pozo Estrecho also visited the refurbishment and expansion of San Fulgencio school, which involves an investment of 118,000 by the council, through regional grants.

Finally have been in the Aljorra, where they visited the land that the City intends to transfer to the Autonomous Region for the construction of another elementary school child who comes to meet the saturation that currently record the two existing centers this council.
