Classical music for young performers at the Palace Hall of Cartagena (21/12/2009)

The Cartagena Chamber Orchestra accompanied on Friday at the Palace Hall three of the solo winner of last year's contest between strings and brass, in the Final Concert.

In that event attended Youth Councillor, Ruth Maria Collado along with other attendees.

The entrance to this event was free and the venue was completed.

The concert closed a series of promotional activities offered by the winners of the XII edition of the contest between strings and brass, which took place in Jumilla, Murcia and Cartagena, on 16, 17 and 18 November respectively.

The closing date of the XIII edition of the classical music competition for young performers in the region of Murcia, is open until January 18, 2010 and the categories in which participants are divided: piano, strings, guitar, woodwinds, brass, percussion and vocals.

Between Strings and Metals aims not only to reward the winners of the competition but also offer the opportunity to perform before an audience as soloists, accompanied by a chamber orchestra, helping them to complete their comprehensive training as musicians, therefore, all winners and acted in concert promotion.

PARTICIPANTS

In this last performance the participants were Andrés Navarro García in the form of percussion, Alejandro Zamora Gumbao in the woodwind (saxophone), and Maria de los Angeles Ayala Moreno at the piano, which were joined again by the Chamber Orchestra Cartagena, led by Brian George Webber.

Andrés Navarro García (1992 - The Union) is credited with several awards as part of the musical group The Union also placed second in the 2007 edition of the contest between strings and brass, won first prize in 2009, and meanwhile continues his studies at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Cartagena.

Alejandro Zamora Gumbao (1992 Catral) started at 8 years studying saxophone and is currently studying at the Conservatory of Music of Murcia, but complete their training with renowned teachers.

His accolades as a soloist and as a member of the saxophone quartet saxinet.

Maria de los Angeles Ayala Moreno (1996 Totana) began his musical career with only 3 years old, his first concert with just 9 years and currently continues his training with the 4 th year of the Teaching of Music, compatible with modern performances and participating in national and international competitions where harvest several awards.
