The speed control campaign that the local police carried out during the month of November with the mobile radar speed trap or released by the Directorate General of Traffic to the City of Cartagena, has resulted in a total of 10,270 vehicles have been controlled in 43 points, with a total of 355 complaints of speeding.

The checks were made daily, morning and afternoon, in areas such as the road from La Union, Sebastian Feringa, Juan Carlos I, Round City Union Strait crossings Pozo and La Palma, route of entry to the port of Santa Lucia Entrance to Los Dolores on the road to La Aljorra and quarries.

The offenses were for drivers who exceeded the speed limit, always within the margin of ten percent, while the outside this ten percent are those who have been finally reported.

Among these include a driver traveling on the road from La Union to more than 114 kilometers per hour at a stretch in which the limit was 50.

Local police officers had to chase to catch him in the square Bastarreche being the case sent to prosecutors on suspicion of a crime against the security.

This is not the first time there is a complaint of this kind because in so far this year, there have been three other similar cases of drivers on the way to 50, traveling at over 114 miles per hour in road from La Union, El Algar and Los Urrutias.

The complaints will be coming in the next few days at the homes of offenders.
