"The teachers welcome such initiatives as well have an easier time knowing what is the new academic selectivity and routes to be followed by students," said the rector.

"Our goal is to provide students with the transition to the University even before they reach it and get it is essential that teachers have to master the UPCT, hence the importance of these sessions," said the head of Students and University Extension.

For its part, the Vice-Chancellor of Convergence and Quality, Josefina García León (pictured) sent to teachers during his speech the need to raise awareness to students that the process of adaptation to the European Higher Education Area will affect not only in the study of a particular title, but on the personal skills of each student to apply knowledge learned in their professional lives.

"It's not worth that students go to class and learn a range of expertise, but has to become a qualified professional with leadership skills, entrepreneurial spirit and motivation for quality.

We must prepare learners to solve the problems that will face when entering the job market by working together. "
