30 classical music concerts in more than 25 stages of the Region (25/11/2009)

Cartagena, Lorca, Caravaca de la Cruz Molina de Segura host the concert series of classical music, sound spaces, which will host 30 concerts in more than 25 spaces from 26 November to 3 July.

The classical music series has become one of the most important classical music in our country.

We seek to expand the range of classical music, which has lacked advocacy.

In the future, this cycle will be an element of interest and dissemination of this type of music, said the Director General for Cultural Promotion of the Region of Murcia, Antonio Martínez, in presenting this cultural event.

Martinez was accompanied by the artistic director of Sound Spaces, José Luis Sánchez Vidal, and the councilors of Culture in Cartagena, Rosario Montero, Lorca, Rosa Medina and Caravaca de la Cruz, Maria Cruz Pérez.

With a great effort by the municipalities involved, this concert series is better because of the increasing number of concerts and spaces, in addition, it extends to a new city, Molina de Segura, who held for the first time this activity.

Note the quality of training proposals from France, Italy and Switzerland and world premieres such as contemporary score that the composer Murcia Salvador Martinez has created for the film Metropolis by Fritz Lang, which will be held June 30 in Cartagena .

The Sound Space artistic director, José Luis Sánchez Vidal stressed that it was important not gotten everything back in, a loyal audience that fills the concerts each year and has brought his ear over time.

In addition, this issue will remain one of the few musical ideas of our country presented for free in almost all areas, with the exception of the concerts in Molina de Segura.

Attendees will enjoy diverse programming for all ages, ranging from medieval music (the group "Artefactum") to more contemporary proposals (The music composed by Salvador Martinez for the cult film "Metropolis"), to romantic music , Renaissance, among others.

From composers such as Mozart (played by the quartet "Archimede") to Henry Mancini with classics like "Moon River" (played by soprano Maria Sirignano).

The cycle starts on Thursday 26 November at the convent of the PP.

Carmelites of Caravaca de la Cruz with a baroque concert of the group, Ensemble tournières with a program of chamber music composed in times of Handel.

This same concert can be heard on Friday 27 November in the Chapel of the Rosary in Lorca and Sunday 29 at the Museum of Roman Theatre in Cartagena.

This festival remains the same philosophy since its birth 7 years ago in the city of Lorca.

Its importance and interest has led its expansion to other municipalities in the region, serving his second edition, entitled Sound Effects.
