Councillor for Sports, Alonso Gómez López and Guillermo Jimenez, a member of the Association of Friends of Football History Cartagenero, presented the first volume of Football History and Statistics in Cartagena, ranging from the years 1903 to 1919 , counting with the presence of two of its authors, Francisco Atanasio and Juan Antonio García Bermúdez, since the other author, Gines Lario, was unable to attend the presentation.
It is always important and nice to remember old times, ancient times, better or worse, recall the history of soccer in Cartagena, so we have collaborated in the preparation of this book that has been much work and much love, stressed Alonso Gomez.
This is a book 'small but interesting "in the words of Athanasius, the result of investigations in January 1903 placed the beginnings of football in Cartagena, reviewing this volume, first in a series that might get five or six volumes, until 1919, leaving hollow, yes, to make a tribute to climb to second in the current FC Cartagena.
Have so far been published 1,000 copies of this book, which can be purchased at bookstores, as Escarabajal or Asensio Sáez bookstore in La Union, the price of 12 euros.
To date 150 have been sold.
