12 Immigrants Rescued by a French patrol boat (08/10/2009)

A small boat in which twelve people were traveling in was stopped yesterday afternoon.

The immigrants, all men and an Algerian national, was taken to the port of Cartagena.

The discovery of the small boat - a boat made of polyester and five meters long, equipped with a 30 hp engine.

- Was made by the French patrol boat "Siroco" which proceeded to rescue the crew of that.

The patrol reported cited the fact, and one of those rescued had some burns from contact with sea water fuel motor dinghy, so that appropriate measures were taken to be served upon arrival port.

Around 20 hours was arriving in the port of Cartagena port patrol boat, available from the National Police rescued the twelve immigrants for timely processing of records returned to their country of origin.

As for the Algerian burns, it was found that these were not significant.
