Mayor Pilar Barreiro received formal visit today to the new delegate of the Ministry of Defense in the Region of Murcia, Juan Manuel Bayo Pérez, replacing Basabe Vicente Blanco, who has been in office for nine years.
During the meeting, Juan Manuel Bayo has been submitted to the first municipal authority and have addressed issues of general importance.

In this sense, the new CEO of Defence in the region has highlighted the fact that the running times of crisis has increased the number of recruitment, doubling the number of applicants to the military.
Navy Captain Juan Manuel Bayo Perez was sworn in on June 29, becoming the third CEO since the creation of this body in 1994.
Before becoming CEO of the Ministry of Defence, Bayo Perez has taught at the training ship "Juan Sebastián Elcano 'deputy commander in the submarine' Siroco 'and the corvette' Infanta Cristina ', deputy-director of studies at the School Weapons of the Navy and Chief of Naval Facilities Arsenal de Cartagena.
