A ten o'clock at night will start a Spanish-Moroccan poetry reading in the old cathedral of Cartagena (20/07/2009)

Within the schedule of the international festival La Mar de Músicas section is the Sea of Arts, which this year focuses on Moroccan writers and poets, according to the guest in this edition.

The schedule prepared for Tuesday July 21 cover morning, afternoon and night and focuses on poetry entitled "Diwan Hispano-Moroccan."

The Diwan Hispano-Moroccan poetic voice brings the most emblematic.

In 1996 Morocco was created in the House of Poetry, chaired by Mohammed Bennis, a place of encounter and exchange of experiences among poets of different generations.

Some of his poems have been translated into Spanish, Catalan and French.

Has participated in poetry festivals in Morocco (as the Mediterranean Poetry Festival, 2001), Spain (Week Poetry Barcelona, 2002; Poetry Mediterranean, Palma de Mallorca, 2004), Egypt (Writing and Women 2002; International Book Fair, 2005), France (Festival of Poetry, Caen, 2005; The LMA Thursday, Paris, 2005) and Jordan (Festival of Culture and the Arts, Jerash, 2005).

Later in the day, at 19.00, there will be a chat between Aicha Bassry and director of the literary magazine The Dialogue of the dogs, Juan de Dios García.

At 8:00 p.m. there will be a panel discussion on contemporary Moroccan poetry in which the journalist and poet will speak Murcia Antonio Lucas and the poet and translator Khalid Raissouni (Casablanca, 1965) is a regular contributor to prestigious publications of the Arab cultural world as Al Quds or Nizwa.

Poets has been translated into Spanish and Latin-American countries such as Angel González, Francisco Brines, Luis Cernuda ...

A member of the Moroccan Writers Union and a founding member of the Association of Friends of Lorca.

He is currently Professor of Arabic Language in Tangier IEES Severo Ochoa.

And at 22.00 pm the program will culminate with a free poetry reading in the old cathedral, where the participants let us hear his verses from lutes and flutes, a cross with one voice poetic Arabic and Spanish.
