The show is a small part of the private collection of the Moroccan bank, acquired over 30 years, as noted by the Councillor for Culture, Rosario Montero.

It includes works by artists as charismatic as Belkahia, Abouelouakar, The Glaoudi, Bellamine, Kacimi, Miloud Labied, Melehio or artist founder of contemporary art in Morocco, Jilail Gharbaoui, a representative figure of the painting marginal.

Jobs are also hybrids between painting and sculpture, as in the case of the disturbing parts of minimalist forms and metal structure Quazzani Abdelkrim, an unclassifiable artist.

Or the works of Abdellah Hariri, who inserted Arabic letters in the picture space suggesting aesthetic and intellectual interpretations.

Through the work of these young artists is evident the fascination of Morocco on Western eyes.

CLOSE GAP

Also this morning and in the Sea of Art has opened an exhibition in the gallery Bisel, "A narrow gap ', Alfredo Chalice, photographer and regular contributor to El Pais Semanal showing a photo essay in black and white contemporary Morocco mainly urban, executed during his travels to the neighboring country in the period 1996 to 2006.

A country that had never before visited that has been discovering and understanding little by little, defeating myths and prejudices about Moroccan society.

Therefore, the pictures do not show a Morocco frozen in time, covered with stereotypes, but are images resulting from their personal experience.

After his experience can say that the gap separating the two continents is narrow and wide at a time.

Perhaps there is an image made from Spain built the warmth of the Oriental, exotic, religion ...

Spanish is considered the East but in fact Islam is the West, said the photographer.

This exhibition, like the rest of those included in the Sea of Art, will run until July 31.
