Ends the first edition of the occupational workshops in the neighborhood Virgen de la Caridad (06/07/2009)

Local Development Agency and Employment launched, on 13 April, Occupational workshops in the Barrio Virgen de la Caridad in the fields of masonry, painting and gardening, with which it meets the objective of performing in this neighborhood in training and employment, targeting the unemployed registered in this area of the municipality.

These first workshops will end on Friday 10 July.

The second phase is scheduled to begin in September, with a duration of four months.

During the workshop, the eight students participating in each of the two phases, receive specific training in various specialties and also additional training in computers and prevention of occupational hazards.

For assistance program participants receive daily scholarship assistance, amounting to 10 euros.

Applicants must be unemployed and be registered in the Barrio Virgen de la Caridad.

Must apply at the Agency of Local Development and Employment, accompanied by a photocopy of unemployment and certificate of registration.

The work so far have developed in the Neighborhood are:

Masonry workshop: Arrangement of partitions, demolition, restoration of chipped areas, flower arrangement, restoration of sources, etc.

Painting Workshop: Remediation activities, sanded and painted in blocks of buildings on different streets, Stella Maris College and Neighborhood Association.

Gardening Workshop: Activities cleaning, pruning, planting, installing irrigation systems, etc., In different streets, parks, plazas and schools in the district.
