The Programme of Grants for the Integration enables the recruitment of 33 unemployed (24/06/2009)

Antonio Calderon, councilor of Social Care, and John Brown, Director General of Pensions, Securities and Inclusion Programs, met yesterday with the beneficiaries of the program aid of insertion and the technicians performing the follow-up, and which this year has allocated a budget of 264,000 euros for the city of Cartagena.

The insertion aid programs collect the hiring of people excluded or at risk of exclusion to achieve their social and work integration especially by providing them with personalized support they need.

The Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration provides grants and subsidies, aimed at council and non-profit institutions for programs of various kinds in order to achieve social integration and especially the integration of people and groups at risk or social exclusion.

In the 2008 call the non-profit entities that together with the City Council have been receiving aid for programs of Integration and Inclusion are: Home for Children Welcomes Murcia, Caritas, Rascasa, Hospital of Santa Teresa, San Haven Foundation Store Paul, Shoot tips and Afal.

Procurement by occupational categories were maintenance laborer, 11, 7 washers, 4 women, 1 driver, 3 computers, 3 custodians, 3 home help assistants and 1 assistant.

In total 33 contracts for the city of Cartagena.

The selection of candidates is done by the City Council through support programs for social inclusion, which work together with the inclusion program service and social responsibility Murciano Institute of Social Action, the selection of candidates .

This will take into account social factors that may interfere with employment, such as family relationships, physical and psychological limitations, scheduling problems, availability of public or private, past or addiction treatment, among other endpoints.

The basic objective of the APIs is to get the training of persons engaged in order to acquire sufficient skills and training in the field of training that will allow them to enter the job market with full autonomy.

The City of Cartagena, aware of these needs, has enabled, through the Municipal Program Tracks for social inclusion, provides for the hiring 9 people who work at City Hall in preparation for their integration into the workplace.
