The Finance and Information Commission has ruled favorably Interior draft municipal budget for the year 2009, amounting to 239.6 million euros.
The ruling has had the votes for the Popular Party and against the PSOE and Citizen Movement.
Following a favorable opinion of the commission, the draft budget will be debated next Monday, May 18 in the regular full Municipal Corporation.
On the other hand, the Finance Committee has unanimously given the green light to local festivals for the year 2010.
As usual will remain the the Good Friday (March 26) and the Carthaginians and Romans Friday (September 24).
The other traditional festival in Cartagena, the Holy Thursday will be regional party.
Another issue has been audited to reductions in tariffs for municipal preschools for 2009-2010 and has received votes in favor of PP and Citizen Movement, and against, the PSOE.
The discounts are similar to those of the previous year, with the news that have added some criteria for baremación as special large family (more than three children) or special disability (more than 65% disability).
Thus, if the school fee stands at 67.80 euros, the highest bonus rebate up to 4.09 euros.
Similarly, if the amount of room is 97.85 euros, the highest bonus rebate up to 5.86 euros.
Among the criteria for concession is the income per capita, being a large family, being a single parent, a sibling enrolled in some infant schools, or disability of the student, parent or sibling in school, in addition to two mentioned above.
Also on the preschools, the Committee has reported favorably with votes for the PP, abstaining from Citizens Movement, and against the PSOE, the new rules adapted to its new configuration, after the dissolution of the former municipal patronage.
The regulation provides, among other issues, deadlines, eligibility criteria and rules of procedure of the preschools.
Finally, and among other things the three municipal groups have ruled unanimously to grant posthumous title Cartagena Adoptive Daughter of the former councilmen and exmember socialist in Congress, Rosario Juaneda after exposure during the period of public records are received many accessions.
The delivery of the title, after approval by the plenary on Monday, is scheduled to take place during a ceremony to be held on Thursday 21 May at the Palace Hall.
