Two training workshops and two workshops to train 158 workers work in the parish of quarries Cartagena (27/04/2009)

School Hostel offers training workshop to 48 students

The Minister of Education, Training and Employment, Sotoca Constantine, accompanied by the mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, visited the Youth and Employment complex of the parish of quarries which develops the Workshop School Hostel, a job training program, whose budget rises to 1.2 billion euros and employs 48 workers.

This Training Workshop is the fourth-job training initiative funded by the regional government in the Cartagena area Quarry, making investments in the Youth and Employment complex totaling 3.5 million euros and enable the training of 158 unemployed.

The event brings together young people under 25 who are building a service building that will support the Youth Hostel of this hamlet.

On the other hand, provides for the establishment of a toilet support shelter and rehabilitation of the perimeter wall of the property that is the focus of occupational training.

The Minister stressed that "employment workshops and schools are configured as interesting workshop training tools and access to the labor market, given that raise the qualifications of students and their chances of finding a job."

He noted that these programs "allow workers, students develop social interest tasks for two years, which is a very valuable experience."

Sotoca explained that his Ministry will bet on a strong and committed to the development of these training activities, which this year accounts for more than 11 million euros, "because 75 percent of the students, that is, seven out of ten find a job at the end of the program. "
