The jury in the Fourth Week Short Cartagena choose the finalists (26/03/2009)

The jury for the Short Week Cartagena IV, comprising Wandosell Gonzalo, and Peter Santomera film critic, actor Murcia, meets 26 and March 27 to select from among 250 short films received, which form part of the sample .

Are three different sections in the sample: Sample Local filmmakers aimed at Cartagena, Regional Show, for the Community of Murcia, and the Open Show, to eligible participants from the rest of Spain.

This year there will be a section below called 'Time geek' short films will reflect the theme and most original and striking design.

The selected films will be shown during the fourth week Short of Cartagena, which takes place within the Festival Much More May, on 20, 21 and 22 May.

The projections on Wednesday, 20 will take place in the Barrio de Santa Lucia, as one of the scenarios in this year's Festival of Young Talents Much More May, which will be produced specifically artistic interventions.

On 21 and 22 exposures are made, as usual, in the Plaza de San Francisco.

The works submitted for the contest can be any theme, fiction, animation, documentary and video art.

The language of the shorts should be Castilian, even if accepted films in other languages if they are subtitled in Castilian.

Also, do not be open to short films that have already been submitted in previous years and the maximum duration of the work is 20 minutes.

The purpose of the Cartagena Short week is to show the works of filmmakers from Cartagena, and the work they are doing in other parts of Spain, and create an environment of disclosure and approach to the world of the film.
