Up to 161 projects by young authors have submitted to the convening of the Festival Mucho.Más.Mayo (17/02/2009)

Closed period for submission of proposals and projects for inclusion in the Festival program Mucho.Más.Mayo 2009, in what will be its fourth year, the council has received 161 proposals from young artists in all records in a variety of creative and provenance, which is an exponent of interest and is receiving increasing support in its short history this event organized by the Youth Council.

The music, performing arts, installations and urban interventions are highly represented among the projects that have come to the organization, without lacking performance art, photography, film, graffiti, or the fusion of different creative languages interdisciplinary projects.

In what will undoubtedly be its most international edition, the official call projects have come from Germany, Sweden, Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia and Uruguay, as well as those from almost all Spanish regions.

In the capital of the region come from 27 projects, while 48 have been submitted by young artists from Cartagena.

Will be on Saturday February 21 when the Selection Committee, composed of professionals working with contemporary art projects will be chosen to join the festival's program taking into account the interest of the proposals and their viability.

The selection is made by Jorge Martinez (Director of the Festival Punto Aparte), Paco Martin (Director of Festival La Mar de Músicas) Luisma Soriano (Producer) and Carolina Parra (Gallerist T-20).

The fourth edition of Mucho Mas Mayo Festival will be held in Cartagena between 4 and 24 May this year.
