As indicated by the popular local group's spokesman, Joaquin Segado, the City Council with the request of the FEMP (Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces) for the Government to reconsider this requirement, since in many cases the cost of the posters is higher than the works themselves.

According Segado, Cartagena only 63 signs will be installed for each of the works, a cost that employers should include in their bills at the expense of other possible improvements.

For the speaker, only in Cartagena joint dimension of 63 linear posters will involve 252 meters, the equivalent of Main Street and all signs must be placed around the country, you could easily walk from Cartagena to Alicante .

Moreover, the cost of all these signs exceed 61 million euros.

The socialist municipal group voted against this motion, considering demagogic and wanting to downplay the Stimulus Plan launched by the Government of the Nation, while Citizens Movement has failed, as emtenden that indeed the sign should be proportional to the size and cost of the work, but that the citizen has a right to know who is funding what works in the city.
