The complaints to the Ombudsman may be submitted at the City Council (06/02/2009)

The Ombudsman in the Autonomous Community of Murcia, José Pablo Ruiz Abellán, this morning visited the Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, a visit that has gone beyond the conclusion was the need to sign a cooperation agreement between institutions to bring the rights and freedoms to citizens.

Through this agreement, the City would undertake to make available to the Ombudsman of all instruments that serve as input channels for complaints of citizens, as are the general register, the single or consumer affairs office.

Since the entry into operation of the Office of the Ombudsman last December, have already received 80 complaints, of which about 12 are from residents of Cartagena.

Health Issues, Environment, Planning and noise pollution are the most recurrent in the writings of citizens.
