This year marks the fourth and Christmas Swim across the Port of Cartagena, an event to be held on Sunday 21 December, leaving from the Port Royal Staircase, and the program is part of the festivities Cartagenero Sports organized by the Swimming Club Masters Carthago in collaboration with the Department of Sports and Tourism of the City of Cartagena.
The test run is 200 meters, a distance easily salvageable with the only drawback of the water temperature around 12 degrees.
The journey will begin at 12 hours, and swimmers will be assisted by Fire and Civil Protection.
After the test, there will be a hot chocolate and pastries for the participants.
Were given two trophies, one veteran participant and others to the youngest as well as trophies for the top three finishers in the men and women.
Entries are free and can be done on the test site or Carthago Masters swim club.
Its president, Javier Sanchez, hopes this year will exceed fifty participants in the journey.
