Two new substations will serve the area and West Mandarache (01/12/2008)

The municipality of Cartagena will feature two new substations to serve the future developments in the area of Mandarache and on the west, as explained by the Councillor for Citizen Security, Public Roads and Services, Enrique Pérez Abellán, following a motion filed by Citizens Movement.

Abellán Pérez recalled investments in this area that have been made in the municipality over the past year.

So, has indicated that in 2008 has reformed the line from the electrical substation from La Unión to La Manga, improving service to the entire area of the Mar Menor, a total of 18,000 meters.

In addition, it has invested two million euros in the resort of La Asomada, increasing by 133% the capacity of power lines and increasing domestic and industrial use, especially of new businesses in Los Camachos.

Also, in the latter half of this year has carried out the burial of four lines in Los Dolores and San Antón, valued at more than one and half million euros, which will serve 40,000 residents.

In total, explained Pérez Abellán, have established more than 25 new miles of power lines and many others have been renovated in operation, plus ten new centers of transformation and renewal of some thirty existing facilities.
