Last day for payment of IBI (28/07/2008)

On Tuesday August 5 is the deadline for payment, voluntary period of 198,820 receipts for the property tax in rural and urban nature, service charges for garbage and sewage in La Manga del Mar Menor taxi license and occupy the public domain with tables and chairs.

In all, the City of Cartagena, through the National Autonomous collection management (OAGRC), hopes to raise 36 million euros.

Most of these receipts, 178,703, under the Real Property Tax on Urban Nature, a collection of over 35 million euros or 2.24% more than in 2007.

These IBI receipts this year, and for the first time, add about 185 bills Special Feature Real Estate, which will provide an income of about 8.5 million euros.

In this section are, according to the tax, the goods for the production of electricity and gas and petroleum refining, wind farms and other facilities of alternative electrical energy production, as well as toll roads and ports commercial, taxed with a higher tax rate.

The remaining receipts are distributed as follows: 3,105 receipts, under the Property Tax rustic nature, 8294, the rate of sewage and garbage from homes in La Manga del Mar Menor, 246, taxi license; and 178, tables and chairs in the street.

Sources of collection management Autonomous Agency of the City of Cartagena (OAGRC), explained that 48 percent of these receipts have already paid through bank debits.

The agency has been doing this long campaign to promote direct debit of such taxes, which has helped to increase the standing orders by 2 percent compared with last year.

All receipts for these charges have been forwarded by mail to the addresses of taxpayers who can pay them by the traditional banking offices and ATMs, or online.

Citizens who have not yet received the receipt at home can download via the website of OAGRC (www.oagrc.es) using the Virtual Office section that also allows for payment of taxes without being moved at any time of day.

To pay in cash, taxpayers must enter the keys contained in receipts.

Some ATMs have also been equipped with barcode readers which greatly facilitate the work and avoid errors.

You can also use the services of online tax of associates: Cajamurcia, CAM, La Caixa and Cajamar.

The payment arrangements over the Internet have had a considerable increase in recent years and accounted for up to 9 percent of payments made through this system that is becoming increasingly used by taxpayers, the remaining payments are made using ATMs by 20 percent and the remaining window directly by 71 percent.
