A vision of French Poetry Today (18/07/2008)

French poetry is the star, in today's session of the literary section of La Mar de Letras, in the festival La Mar de Musicas Cartagena.

For this reason, the Councillor for Culture, Rosario Montero, with the editor Javier Marin, autologous Lionel Ray and the president of Association of Surveyors of Murcia, Antonio Garrido, coeditor of the book, among others, have presented this morning the release Eighteen poets French.

Anthology of contemporary French poetry, seventeen artists selected by Ray, among many other valuable voices in the current scenario.

The book features the creations of poets such as Jacques Dupin, Marie Claire Bancquart, André Velter, Jean Portante or Ariane Dreyfus.

According to Lionel Ray anthologist, has never been more poets and more publishers at this time, although many predicted a death of this literary style.

The choice of poets has been difficult, according to Ray, but it includes five women, of the seventeen that appear in the anthology.

Furthermore, the selection was made with lesser-known poets and poetry translated from French.

Among the selected poets in the book, one of them, Linda Maria Baros, read this afternoon after 18 hours, his poems.
