With the start of the summer season are being carried out by the Environmental Unit of the local police in Cartagena a series of checks to verify the noise levels on motorcycles and mopeds in the beach areas.

The population growth in resort areas during the summer season causes an increase of scooters and motorcycles which leads to a rise in noise levels.

The campaign began last July 4 is intended to check on the one hand the fulfillment of the requirements of the Municipal Environment Protection Against Noise and Vibration in terms of noise levels and secondly, to inform drivers about the state of their vehicles to comply with current regulations.
