Ramón García Pérez will receive on Thursday, June 26, Cartagenero of the Year Award 2007.

The award will be presented at the Palace Hall by the Mayor, Pilar Barreiro.

The event, originally scheduled for eight o'clock in the afternoon, has been advanced one hour, seven in the evening, so they do not coincide with the quarter-final played in the Spanish Championship.

Ramón García Pérez was born in Cartagena in 1917, within a family related to cinematography: his father and uncles: The Brothers Garcia were the first to bring the cinema to Cartagena in 1897, showing films in a shack in Paseo del Muelle, which alternated with film projection varieties.
