Cartagena receives a mobile recycling center for waste collection in the districts (28/04/2008)

The Councillor for Citizen Security, Public and Services Via the City of Cartagena, Enrique Pérez Abellán, received this morning one of the eight points Clean Mobile that the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Spatial Planning of the Autonomous Region of Murcia delivered to the municipalities of Cartagena, Cehegín, Lorca, Mazarron, Murcia, Molina de Segura, Puerto Lumbreras and Torre Pacheco.

This phone is a collection point Midlum 220.10B Renault truck specially adapted for the collection of twenty categories of special waste by its nature and composition have no place in the different bins installed on public streets.

These wastes include oils, batteries, batteries, fluorescent tubes, electrical cables, solvents and paint, drugs, plastics, small appliances, clothing and shoes.

This vehicle will make a journey through the different districts and councils of the municipality, which are currently working on the technical services of the City Council to facilitate the collection of waste from those who want to rid the public.

Each of these districts and councils, will have a schedule of visits by mobile collection point, a schedule and a fixed location.

All these details will be announced soon through a communication campaign to accompany the launch of this new service.

The delivery of mobile collection point has been made by the Minister of Sustainable Development and Spatial Planning, Benito Mercader.

By the City of Cartagena, was attended by the Councillor for Citizen Security, public roads and services, Enrique Pérez Abellán, the council of Sustainable Development, Isaiah Camarzana, and General Coordinator of Planning and Sustainable Development, Enrique Jimenez.

The award ceremony was held at the Auditorio "Victor Villegas" de Murcia.

These mobile collection points are part of a comprehensive package of actions that have been supported by the Operational Programme of Cohesion Fund Feder and comes in response to the needs and objectives outlined in the Waste Plan in the Region of Murcia.

The amount of each of these collection points is moving some 77,000 euros.
