Social Care Councilman of the City of Cartagena, Antonio Calderón, accompanied by the Director of the Municipal Institute of Social Services, Antonio Mula, visited the facilities of the Down Syndrome Association of Cartagena (ASID), accompanied by President of the institution , Santiago Lopez Noguera, and members of the Board.
Cartagena grabbed performs an important social role in Cartagena through various programs that provide more normal a life as possible and getting family integration, school, social and employment to people with Down syndrome.
This association is a nonprofit organization based in Genoa Street Circle of Santa Ana de Los Dolores.
Among its actions and services is the treatment of children and young people with Down syndrome, their individual involvement, offering parent workshops leisure, family support and volunteer involvement and training of these young people across the vocational training workshops.
