In total there were 280 kids who, from 28 schools in the municipality, participated in the morning of Thursday in the municipal stage Playing athletics in junior category, which takes place within the program of Physical Education and Sports School Age organized by the Department of Sports City of Cartagena, in collaboration with the Directorate General of Sports in the Region of Murcia.
Schools that have gathered in this edition, with teams in male and female form, are as follows:
Poet Antonio Oliver, Virginia Perez, Virgen del Carmen, San Juan Bosco, San Fulgencio, Santa Florentina, Vicente Ros, La Concepcion, La Asomada, Narval, San Francisco Javier, San Cristobal, San Isidro, Virginia Perez, Luis Calandre, Virgin Begoña, Mastia, Asdrubal, Feliciano Sanchez, San Antonio Abad, San Isidoro, Sagrada Familia, poet Antonio Oliver, La Vaguada, Azorín, Fernando Garrido, Leonardo da Vinci and Miralmonte.
The Department of Sports, in collaboration with the Athletics Federation of Murcia, the Athletics Club Cano and Athletics Club Cartagena, have coordinated a device composed of experts from the Council, judges of athletics, volunteers TAFAD IES Mediterranean and buses for travel of participants and teachers.
Tests conducted at the Municipal Sports Pavilion have included: 10x10 race, jumping rope, triple jump from standstill, release the ball from sitting, launching a soft javelin, relay: 5x1 and 5x2 (grand prix).

The winners of both competitions represent Cartagena in the regional finals to be held in Mazarrón February 18 (fry) and Totana February 24 (youngest).
