Citizen claims that nearly 60 percent of their approved motions are not executed by the local government (03/02/2016)

Citizens Cartagena has been an emergency motion to be debated in the next plenary session, in which the spokesperson for the Orange formation, Manuel Padin, require the government team PSOE and Citizen Movement, to ensure compliance with the resolutions adopted each month in the municipal plenary.

To do this training at the next plenary propose the creation of a Monitoring Committee Motions.

The resolutions passed by the House are binding by the City Council and established the Law 7/85, of 2 April, regulating the bases of local government;

Royal Decree 2568/1986, of November 28, amending the Rules of Organization and Functioning Legal System of Local Bodies is approved;

and Royal Legislative Decree 781/1986 of 18 April, approving the revised text of the applicable legal provisions on local legislation.

The Councillor for Citizen Cartagena, Ana branch, considered "disappointing and frustrating to see how the work done since its formation, a daily work for the citizens of Cartagena, is useless, because compliance is not running opinions agreed by most, either by negligence, by blocking bureaucracy, or for other reasons that I dare not imagine. "

For the council, "it is worrying that the mayor of Cartagena want to convert the town meetings in a circus to divert attention from his chaotic management, or the lack of respect on that suffered during plenary sessions, but much more serious is the lack of execution the decisions of the plenum, which not only prevents take action on behalf of the city, but contrary to the law. "

Cartagena citizens submitted a total of over 30 motions so far this term, of which 19 have been approved, of these 19, only 9 have been or are being implemented.

This training considers it unacceptable that nearly 60 percent of the motions presented to the municipal plenary Citizens are ignored.

Compliance with the motions approved by the government team, in a timely manner, in addition to assuming and respecting the feelings of society, is forced execution to enforce the very raison d'être of the City of Cartagena.

Therefore, from Citizens creation of an agency to track the motions approved by the Municipal Council and checking the status of implementation, and ensuring compliance we believe necessary.
