The Department of Education of the City of Cartagena has conducted over Christmas a number of construction and renovation in 25 schools in the municipality, taking advantage of the classrooms were empty during the holidays when the kids enjoyed their vacation.

These actions, among which the replacement of doors and light bulbs, the refurbishment of toilets or changing ramps and stairs have been made ​​in the Mastia, Antonio Ulloa, Mare Nostrum, the Mediterranean, alums, Hannibal, Macher, Carthago schools Hazim, Our Lady of the Sea, San Isidoro, San Fulgencio, San Ginés de la Jara Llano, José María Lapuerta, Atalaya, Vicente Ros, Villalba, Primitiva Lopez, San Cristobal, Stella Maris, La Milagrosa II EE, EE II Villalba, EE II Barrio Peral, San Isidoro and EE EE II Bambi II.

The total amount of these works amounts to about 209,183 euros, of which 155,000 approximately has been earmarked for repair and maintenance; 1,393 euros, to the installation of whiteboards; 17,979 euros, to purchase all centers luminaire ; 9,824 to regular inspection;

and 27,897 euros to s ubsanación deficiencies for the legalization of electrical installations to OCA, such as the CEIP San Isidro, Our Lady of Sorrows, Feliciano Lopez Sanchez and Primitive.
