The ZAL Los Camachos, an urgent commitment

Citizens, the LAZ on the business horizon of this region as a priority, a necessary step to develop our economy, to boost competitiveness of the Region of Murcia and the District of Cartagena step and, above all, to generate jobs in one of the most economically depressed areas and labor Spain following the economic crisis;

An estimated one area of logistics activities near the Port of Cartagena, could generate about 2,000 direct jobs and 4,000 indirect jobs.

Furthermore, we must consider the logistics activity is a reasonably stable and independent of financial market fluctuations labor sector;

the need to transport goods unalterably grows.

Currently, the international freight is carried essentially by sea.

Approximately 90% of the displaced tonnage, 9,000 million tons per year, has a maritime component within its supply chain.

Therefore, this trend has led to the development of infrastructure and expertise that handle goods port origin: the ZAL.

The main ZAL of Spain are in port areas: Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Algeciras, Aviles ... therefore uniquely placed to the LAZ is placed in the belt surrounding the main economic lung of the Region: the Port of Cartagena .

According to all the studies consulted by citizens, most profitable location, and effective in the area of logistics activities it is the Camachos Industrial Estate, which owns two and a half square meters available for immediate execution million.

It is the passage of the AP-7 motorway, just 10 kilometers from the Port of Cartagena, 15 km from the airports of San Javier and Corvera, with the possibility of having a railway line without geographic features, and an enviable position natural in the future Mediterranean Corridor route.

The area of logistics activities has been repeatedly demanded by the civil society, and out of the District of Cartagena.
