Ana Belen Castejón pointed out that Cartagena was one of the founding cities of this project, and that means that Cartagena has such potential, we have managed to demonstrate with our municipal services, willing to coordinate with each other and enable economic integration can also be made in social integration.

The project started in December 2013 and ended in June this year and has enabled the participating cities and learn to value the contribution of migrants into the local economy.

In Cartagena, it has developed from the A gency for Local Development and Employment and the Department of Social Services and Mediation Socia l, in collaboration with other municipal departments.

The objective of the final conference, entitled New paths towards integration, is drawing conclusions and establish lines and good practice guidelines from facing the DELI II.

At the conference were present the project managers in the various participating cities as well as the Head of Democratic Initiatives of the Council of Europe, Eladio Fernandez different responsible for Migration Policy Group, and the general director of Participation and EU External Action Region of Murcia, Manuel Alonso Pleguezuelo.

The working sessions will be held until Wednesday November 11th in the old Yacht Club.
