Thirteen thousand Cartagena know they have diabetes (02/11/2015)

November 14 will be the World Diabetes Day and Sodicar has organized a series of activities, ranging from the 9th to the 15th of this month, to educate the patient about the importance of care in addition to early detection of disease .

In Cartagena, over 30 thousand people have diabetes, and about 13,000 still do not know, as explained by the president of Sodicar.

This morning, the council area of Quality of Life and Health, Francisco Calderon, the Councillor for Social Services, Carmen Martin del Amor, and the president of Sodicar, Maria Dolores Garcia, presented the program of activities at the Palace Hall.

ACTIVITIES

The activities begin on Monday 9 November with a lecture until Wednesday 11. Thursday 12, 10 to 13 hours free retinographies will be at the headquarters of Ircovisión.

On Saturday 14, World Diabetes Day in the Plaza Juan XXIII will be an information booth, in addition to measuring blood glucose in the booth strip mall.

On Sunday November 15, at 14 hours, will be a convivial meal at the restaurant La Cartuja.

MUNICIPAL SUPPORT Sodicar

Councillor for Social Services, Carmen Martin del Amor, has invited all Cartagena to attend the activities, and show support for Sodica r, both from the Department of Social Services City of Cartagena.
