The Minister of Education and Universities, Maria Isabel Sanchez-Mora, accompanied by the director general of Universities and Research, Luis Javier Lozano, visited the Polytechnic University of Cartagena to see on the ground the Infrastructure Plan UPCT, whose performances It has been assessed as "very necessary".
During the visit, the rector Jose Antonio Franco has explained the investment planning for the period 2016-2020, of which the construction of the building of the School of Architecture, remodeling of the University Residence and the adequacy of plots for sports facilities in the surroundings of Cerro de San José.
Most of these investments planned for the period 2010-2015, had to be postponed to economic difficulties imposed by the crisis.
There is also provided extending Chairs Network Technology Company, giving it additional 5,000 m2, which multiply by four its current capacity.
Chairs Network is an important commitment of the Polytechnic University to connect students with businesses, and is achieving excellent results in terms of employment and promotion of applied research.
