Education will invest more than 3.5 million in 2016 to improve educational infrastructure in Cartagena (09/10/2015)

The Ministry of Education and Universities plans to invest more than 3.5 billion euros next year in Cartagena "to continue improving, expanding and building new educational infrastructure in the city," he announced today the Minister of Education and Universities, Maria Isabel Sanchez-Mora

In this regard, the minister said his department "will promote actions" to expand Ben Arabi Institute of Secondary Education as well as the installation of a new roof at the Polytechnic Institute of Cartagena.

Both actions have an investment of 400,000 and 250,000 euros respectively.

Among the initiatives to be developed highlights the first phase of the construction of new public school in La Aljorra, in 2016 that "an investment of over one million euros of the total of four million to be invested for the construction is planned new school, "said the minister.

In addition, the 2016 budget "will contemplate the remodeling of the Integrated Center Cartagena Hesperides, with an investment of 1,750,000 euros for the planned actions."

According to Sanchez-Mora, the Ministry of Education and Universities "works on projects and future actions to further improve schools in Cartagena."

In this regard, he noted that "we continue to work on other activities for schools will announce Cartagena are closed as projects in more detail."

The Minister concluded that "a regional government's commitment to continue providing Cartagena of the best educational facilities, and continue working on that line."
