Professor of Economics at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT), Antonio Garcia Sanchez, will be the new manager of the municipal company Old Town Cartagena, he announced today the mayor, Jose Lopez Martinez.
Lopez, who has appeared before the media after the meeting of the board on which they have integrated the new representatives of local groups and took stock of the economic situation, said that the municipal company will continue to have stopped losses and will have among its main objectives the revitalization of the old town, through Ctracción project, which seek to attract investment projects and technological content.
The mayor thanked the services provided by the former manager, Luis Miguel de Andrés, whose contract was valid until February 2016 has been withdrawn by the board of directors.
The new manager, whose appointment has yet to approve the council will have to give a twist to the functioning of society, more in touch with the street, as noted by the mayor, and focused on the economic, social and urban recovery of the hull.
