Local police instructs prosecution for an alleged abuse of a horse in Lo Campano (14/09/2015)

Agents of the local police in Cartagena instructed errands in the afternoon of Friday, September 11, for an alleged crime of animal abuse to a horse, whose emaciated appearance and precarious living conditions in which he was alerted neighbors area.

The events were initiated by a call to room 092, which warned of the presence of the animal next to the old factory premises Peñarroya.

Personates agents UCECO unit of the local police, they found that the animal actually had a pretty physical deterioration aspect (possibly for lack of food and poor care) as well as the precariousness of the enclosure where he was.

After making some inquiries were able to locate to its current owner, a resident of the District of Santiago de Lo Campano, who admitted to being the owner and he was in the attempt to recover the animal, because when it was purchased recently, it was found still much peor.Para prevent the animal worse, the agents urged the owner to hand him over to a protective entity, to which he agreed voluntarily.

That afternoon the necessary arrangements were made with a legal representative of the PAES (Association for the Protection of Animals Spain), who in turn managed with other protective association member Andreas & The Henrietta Animal Rescue Foundation to take charge animal, performing the move to its facilities in Las Palas Fuente Alamo that afternoon.

In all proceedings, the agents gave Seprona shuttle service to the Civil Guard suspected the existence of a crime of animal abuse.
