Salvage in Cartagena at 9:25 pm received a call this morning from the fishing Belmonte Hernandez requesting the medevac of a fallen sailor on deck.
Salvage informed the fisheries that should contact the radio medical center to receive information on the diagnosis and treatment of the affected crew member.
Simultaneously, the Rescue Center of Cartagena mobilized rapid response boat Salvamar Mimosa, which came alongside the fishing 30 miles SE of Cartagena at 10:40 am to pick up the wounded.
At 12:00 hours it arrived at the port of Cartagena, where an ambulance took her to the Hospital Santa Lucía affected.
According to the radio medical center in Madrid the crew shows trauma to the left leg above the ankle, with possible breakage.
