The mayor, Jose Lopez, Deputy Mayor, Ana Belen Castejon, Councillor of Greater Environment, Francisco Jose Calderon and the Councillor for Industry, Obdulia Gomez visited the facilities of Repsol in the Valley of tailings, where they found the director of the refinery, Juan Antonio Carrillo de Albornoz, who showed them the facilities and systems of management and control refinery.
Once there, they were able to see first hand the operation of the plant and major projects that are underway in refinery, focusing on energy efficiency and reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
The mayor, Jose Lopez has told the media his thanks to Repsol's visit and explanations of all production processes and what they bring to Cartagena: We have offered our full cooperation with the refinery because it gives us life with more than 1,800 jobs.
The mayor also talked about training: Through specific professional training, let's try that since the counseling is taken into account and that they start to teach in schools in Cartagena and the region is facing in this field, for successive jobs may be filled by staff of Cartagena, in the Region and the Region.
