The National Police arrested a businessman for providing false documentation immigrants (16/07/2015)

It is estimated that the total amount defrauded the Social Security amounts to about 70,000 euros

The employer distorted labor documentation for immigrants to have access to economic unemployment benefits.

The National Police in line with the JARRUF operation has proceeded to the arrest of fifteen people for alleged forgery and fraud, in connection with the sale of labor contracts and labor relations simulation.

The investigations began in conjunction with the Provincial Labor and Social Security when after inspecting several shops run by citizens of Moroccan origin discrepancies between the data provided "in situ" by the perpetrators and the case-in databases were checked different agencies.

Therefore a thorough investigation that led to uncover the fraudulent "business" activity to a Moroccan citizen, resident in the San Anton consisting of the sale of contracts of employment of foreign nationals engaged began.

This person, charged not only by the employment contract, but also, prices ranged depending on the time needed false workers remain high in the Social Security system, being able in some cases to six hundred euros.

With these illicit activities a debt in excess of 70,000 euros, having proceeded, through policing, to the cancellation of all movements registered with the Social Security, as well as performance and residence permits was generated.

The main responsibility was managing two small shops, a grocery and a hair salon where once had discharged in Social Security to 45 workers, almost all of Moroccan origin.

The employer sought to "workers" in both Murcia and other provinces, especially Alicante and Almeria, but also other as far as Gerona or Baleares.

In addition to managing employment contracts, also it provided them with a fictitious address at Avenida de Colón of that neighborhood, to simulate the residence of ghost workers in the city.

Of the efforts carried out during the months of investigation it found that at the hairdresser labor activity exercised only a foreign national in an irregular situation, while other business never were real workers.

In addition to policing with criminal relevance, the Labour Inspectorate made a record in the scope of its powers.

Employment contracts and high in Social Security are required by the current legislation on foreigners, foreign citizens resident in order to obtain or renew the corresponding authorizations of residence, which is the main purpose of the fraudulent activity unmasked, and the accumulation of trading days for subsequent access to unemployment benefits.

Police investigations found that the employer held a first meeting with the workers and assumptions after being captured, demanded payment of a sum of money as a sign.

Once accepted the agreed conditions, a second meeting, where they remained facilitated payment, identity documents, employment contracts, documentation and certification company registered with the Social Security.

Research has been carried out by the Local Brigade Aliens and Border Police of the National Police of Cartagena, in collaboration with the Provincial Labor and Social Security.
