The rector, José Antonio Franco Leemhuis has been received by the mayor, Jose Lopez and Deputy Mayor, Ana Belen Castejon, with whom he has maintained a first contact and have raised issues such as the intensification of student internships in the municipal administration
The mayor of Cartagena, José Lope z Deputy Mayor, Ana Belen Castejon have held a meeting with the rector of the UPCT, Jose Antonio Franco Leemhui s, which have been able to establish a first contact and put their different points of view issues that concern both the City Council and the University, as the possibility of intensifying the training agreement between the Administration and the UPCT.
Both the mayor and Deputy Mayor have revealed that it was a very cordial meeting, and explained that the communication channels are open and try to be more fluid than they were and that both institutions work hand in hand to UPCT and Cartagena are placed increasingly on the academic map.
The mayor praised highly the meeting which was also transmitted which is a very important for the city entity as the Polytechnic University of Murcia is located in Cartagena.
Jose Lopez has highlighted the main issues that have been treated as staffing and project ideas that C-Drive and the collaboration of some of the talent that has UPCT timely manner.
The rector of the UPCT, Jose Antonio Franco has also reaffirmed explained by the mayor and added another issue which concern, the agreement practices at City Hall: We will try to intensify the internship agreement we have among students UPCT and City Hall, as it would be very beneficial for both parties.
The chancellor has also shown that the City is available for everything they need and this will be the first of many meetings.
