A course to prevent the use of snuff and alcohol in young people (07/07/2015)

"It Prevent from small: teacher training in the prevention snuff and alcohol," is the title of the course of the International University of the Sea-Campus Mare Nostrum to be held between 15 and 17 July at the Old Naval Museum Cartagena .

According to its creators, is "necessary that drug prevention is developed in school because, along with the family and the peer group, is one of the main agents of socialization", hence claiming that teachers, because of its proximity with students, their role as educational role models and are a significant "preventive agents" in this field.

The activity is intended to prepare teachers of primary education to develop skills to prevent the consumption of snuff and alcohol.

The course is run by Ana Belen Villar Lorenzo, Anthropologist and specialist nursing Company;

Juan Jimenez Roset, Regional Technical Coordinator of Drug Dependence of the Directorate General of Public Health and Addictions of the Ministry of Health and Social Policy and Consuelo Puerta Ortuño, Clinical Psychologist, Head of the Prevention of Drug Addiction of the Regional Coordinating Unit of Drug Addiction.

The activity has a duration of 25 hours, and those who enroll in it shall be entitled to 2.5 free elective credit or ECTS-credit CRAU.
