Numerous members of the university community today wear T program Solidarity Forever, with the slogan "Let nothing stop you," to show their support for the mainstreaming of disability in both personal and professional.
This initiative is part of the activities organized by the IES Mediterranean and UPCT to raise funds for NGO Action Aid and local NGOs like the Good Samaritan.
UPCT also hosts this evening a concert and a joint canteen.
Solidarity Concert IES Mediterranean-UPCT show, this year, a recital of Spanish guitar, gymnastic skills or interpretation of current songs in sign language among other actions.
The activity, included in the "Solidarity Forever" program, it aims to promote values ​​such as equality, commitment and tolerance among young people.
The concert was attended by the Rector, José Antonio Franco and the director general of Research, Innovation and Information Society, Celia Martínez Mora, who is an engineer doctor agronomist by UPCT and pacede to profound deafness since childhood.
Solidarity Cantina
UPCT also collaborates with volunteers who organize a joint canteen in the middle of the act in which offer international tapas prepared by foreign students.
In addition, t-shirts will be sold with the logo and slogan of the concert.
The two euro ticket price and benefits of the various actions carried out will go to the NGO Action Aid and local NGOs like the Good Samaritan.
