Tuesday, at 9.30 has begun the course of Sociocultural Monitor in Geriatrics and Techniques Job Search in the offices of the Department of Women.
This training provides outputs to work in day care centers, nursing home or home care.
Involved 18 students, attending classes taught on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9.30 to 13.30, to complete 85 hours of theory and 15 practical, scheduled for May 28.
The agenda addresses the issues of free time and leisure, scope and intervention contexts, project development, and socio-cultural dynamics.
Topics chosen with the intention to motivate and encourage the group of older people, involving them in their own social and cultural development for nursing homes.
Functions of sociocultural animator
The animators have very specific and clear functions, is not a simple method of entertainment focused solely from a playful view.
To be sociocultural animator will have to acquire different functions: Transmit residents with work, the importance of using leisure time steadily, involve them in activities carried out in the center and encourage solidarity and companionship.
Animators must design and develop the activities organized daily in the center and create a good atmosphere among attendees.
Have a wide range of activities in which they can participate freely.
They are divided into two groups, scheduled;
encompassing artistic, recreational, social, cultural and musical activities, and overtime;
with parties, anniversaries or tours.
Technical Job
In the course, learn job skills such as resume preparation and cover letter, curriculum development online, prepare for an interview, creating an email, online job search and registration for temporary employment.
