A 9.4 percent more tourists this Easter in Cartagena (06/04/2015)

35%, foreign and 7%, the rest of the Region |

This Easter the city has been completely filled with visitors.

This assessment is reflected in the data presented this afternoon by the Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, who has estimated the increase in visitor numbers by 9.4 percent, as the statistics of the interpretation center Cartagena, Puerto Cultures.

Without Good Friday an open day was held in Puerto centers of cultures, from Saturday March 27 to Sunday April 5, were recorded in these centers 14 968 visitors which means an increase of 1,285 tourists compared to last year.

The highest number of visitors coming from the Community of Madrid with 48%, 28% of Valencia, 8% of Andalusia, Catalonia 6% and 4% of Castilla La Mancha. In total, 58% comes from tourists national, 35% of foreign and 7% of the regional.

These data demonstrate the promotional effort that has been done in recent months Consjería City Hall and Tourism of the Autonomous Community to promote the processions of Cartagena, with different advertising and promotional initiatives.
